The Price of Water
About
What happens after the shift?
The Price of Water explores the consequences, when the pressures that once built quietly begin to reshape the world in full. Systems that once held begin to fail. Access becomes power. Stability becomes uncertain. And the cost of control becomes impossible to ignore.
This is what follows.
Praise for this book
Honestly, Ross, your novel left me breathless. The way you've woven this gripping, high-stakes thriller around the water crisis feels so urgent and real it's like you're holding up a mirror to where our world could be heading if we're not careful. That Ghanaian scientist's breakthrough, the Swedish colleague's moral awakening and redemption arc, the Indian assassin's unexpected shift toward humanity, and the climactic unraveling in Kazakhstan... it all builds with such heart-pounding tension while never losing that thread of hope and justice. The human elements shine through so brightly the courage, the betrayals, the quiet acts of defiance and it left me feeling both alarmed and strangely uplifted, believing that one determined person (or one powerful idea) really can tip the scales. It's rare to find a book that combines such intense global conspiracy vibes with genuine emotional depth and redemption. I finished it thinking, "This is the kind of story the world needs right now," and my heart just swelled with the urge to help it reach more people who would feel that same spark.
Great story that weaves in some fascinating concepts for our future. I look forward to reading more from Ross and to see which of his, very realistic, predictions come true.
I really enjoyed the story line. The characters were interesting. The futuristic theme is believable based on events and political mandates that are already starting to happen. I was able to escape into the story. I can’t wait until Ross Adams next book!
