Almost There!

I am very excited as I near the end of the editing process for The Siberian Question. I've got one more chapter to enter handwritten edits and another series of edits for a new chapter to give the main character of the book more depth and continuity throughout the story. I"m targeting the week of Christmas to get his finally published. I've got a formatter more or less lined up to get it into KDP/IngramSparks/Books.By shape. Once it's all complete, I'll register the copyright for the cover artwork and the final manuscript. It will feel really good when I reach that point.

Meanwhile, the bike crash. The more I think about it, the more upset I get. There should have been a sign saying "open trench." There were no signs. It could have gotten hurt much worse than I was. And boy was it painful in the moment! Most of the snaps have flaked off but remnants remain. The bruises on my side and ribcage are fading. One finger and my right hand may have borne the brunt of the damage as they both hurt when I try to use them. Still on the mend which is what's most important.

Last, this past weekend I was in Scottsdale for my niece's wedding. Wonderful affair. Saw nearly the entire immediate family (I"m one of 4 kids). Those not siblings or parents of the bride stayed in big AirBNB. The weekend topped off with a large portion of those from Philadelphia going to the Eagles vs. Chargers at SoFi Stadium. Great game but the Eagles lost in overtime. Oh well.
